Holstein Diagonal Bands
A torus surface universe with diagonal bands of alternate state.
With the a minimum of asymmetry the boundaries perform a drunkards walk until two boundaries meet and the band collapses to nothing.
Here is a pattern which will run in golly 150 square only one boundary is moving.
This is quite a bit simpler than the checkerboard patterns and is part of the survey of my survey of State Symmetrical Cellular Automata
